“ The rooms are amazing and at 400 years old you feel the history. High quality fixtures and fittings throughout along with complimentary bottles of whisky and gin and awesome smelling bathroom toiletries. Breakfast was spot on, we didn't eat at the restaurant for an evening meal. Limited menu and a bit pricey I thought. ”
“ This was our second stay at a Bel & The Dragon pub and they have both been lovely (the other was in Wendover). The staff are always really friendly, the pubs are welcoming and the food is great. The rooms have been beautifully decorated and clean, with all the hot drink amenities you need, as well as some delicious chocolates and a taster of sloe gin for a night cap. At this pub there is even an upstairs 'snug'/ lounge area just for guests staying over, with games and whiskey to sample. We really enjoyed our stay here! ”
“ A Perfect Sunday Lunch Experience! We had a truly fantastic Sunday lunch experience with my wife and our 3-year-old son. From the moment we arrived, the ambience was warm and welcoming – just the right mix of relaxed and refined, perfect for a family outing. The food was absolutely delicious! The monkfish starter was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor, and the roast beef was hands-down one of the best we've had – tender, rich, and perfectly complemented by all the trimmings. A huge thank you to the lovely team, especially Elle and (I believe his name was) Harry – both were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so well looked after. And a special shoutout to Luke, the General Manager, for running such a fantastic restaurant. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-quality Sunday roast in a lovely setting. We will definitely be back! ”

“ Only had food, but it was excellent, and great service (feedback card said Izzy but there was another lady also serving, both excellent ) Yes, it's a bit more than most 'gastropubs' but the food is restaurant quality, decor, service and everything else to match. Had the stewed beef cheeks on mash with cavolo Nero and gravy, which was fantastic, my wife had pork belly which she loved. 12.5% voluntary service charge but happy to pay it. Will go back ”
